The Buyer Lane Report is a monthly subscription briefing. It is for founders 12 to 24 months before a sale. They want a clear read on how buyers think about the things that affect their deal.

What you get

Once a month, a long briefing covering: current comp data in your sector (drawn from Pratt’s Stats, the Capstone index, and what Cordis Institute learns from deal flow), buyer activity in your sector (who is buying, what they pay for, what is changing), and one deep look at a topic active sellers care about (working-capital talks, indemnification terms, earnout design, the QofE process, handling customer-reference calls).

Each quarter, a longer report on how buyers size up one operational topic (key-person dependency, turning revenue into recurring revenue, clear decision rights, documentation programs).

Twice a year, an off-the-record call with Cordis Group senior partners. Members can ask the questions that should not be written down.

Why “by application”

The Buyer Lane Report is written for active sellers. The briefings lean on comp data and buyer patterns that help most within 24 months of a sale. Founders earlier in their thinking get more from the free Foundry publication, the Misalignment Tax monograph, and the Scorecard. The application is not a gate. It is about timing, for both sides.

Pricing

$97 a month, billed once a year at $1,164. We do not discount for paying a year up front. The price reflects the cost of the work.

When it opens

Applications open each quarter. The next opening is October 2026. Telling us you are interested now puts you on the list for that opening. We will write to you in September 2026 with the application details.
