Cordis Group is the M&A advisory firm in the Cordis family. It works with lower-middle-market businesses worth $5M or more in enterprise value. Cordis Group is a separate business from Cordis Foundry. The two are sister firms inside the Cordis Group family.

What Cordis Group does

Sell-side and buy-side advisory work for lower-middle-market businesses, usually in industrial services, B2B services, manufacturing, and specialty distribution. The work includes running the sale process, reaching out to buyers, weighing LOIs, managing diligence, and closing.

Why the MRI is the typical entry point

Most founders Cordis Group ends up working with start with an MRI. The MRI is the diagnostic. The advisory work that follows, if it happens, is built around what the MRI finds. Founders who skip the MRI and go straight to advisory hit a snag in the first six weeks. The prep work the MRI would have flagged is now in the way. Doing the MRI first is the faster route.

Why “by referral”

Cordis Group does not do outbound marketing. Work comes through three channels: referrals from current clients, Cordis Foundry readers who take an MRI and decide to go ahead, and trusted advisors in the lower middle market (accountants, attorneys, wealth advisors).

How to begin

Take the Scorecard. If you are inside the 12 to 36 month window, request an MRI. If you are already in a sale process or have a specific question, the contact form on this page reaches a person at Cordis Group within one business day.
