The short version
Foundry is a free publication about how private companies get valued, priced and handed over. It is education, not advice. Read it, use it, quote it with attribution. Do not treat it as a valuation of your business, and do not act on it without your own advisers.
Not advice, and not a valuation
Nothing on Foundry is investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, and nothing on it creates a client relationship. Figures describe market ranges drawn from published transaction data. They are not a valuation of any particular business, including yours. Company stories are composites: real patterns, details changed, no company identifiable.
Cordis Group operates under the M&A Broker Exemption and is not a broker-dealer. Nothing here is an offer of securities or a solicitation to buy or sell any business.
The tools
The twelve-minute check and anything like it are self-assessed and directional. They score what you tell them. They do not verify anything, and a good score is not a finding that your business is worth a particular number.
Email you give us
If you subscribe, we use your address to send the publication and nothing else. We do not sell, share or rent it. Unsubscribe from any issue. What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete it at any time via contact.
Our material
The writing, charts and images on Foundry belong to Cordis Group. Quote us, cite us, send pieces to whoever you like. Do not republish whole pieces as your own or resell them.
Links out
We link to books, tools and other people's writing because they are worth your time. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.
Liability
Foundry is provided as is. We work hard to keep it accurate and we correct errors when we find them, but we do not warrant that everything on it is complete or current, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it. The number that matters is the one a real buyer puts in writing after diligence.
Changes
If these terms change materially we will say so on this page rather than quietly reissuing them.
